Don’t let the name fool you!

Our 2nd Stage productions provide 1st place quality theatre entertainment to our community. We are proud to partner with The Salvation Army Kroc Centers’ State-of-the-Art facility to provide a temporary home for our 2nd Stage while we are in the process of building our new home.

We have two remaining shows and they are perfect for families with children ages 3 & up! MISS NELSON IS MISSING has 2 performances left on Sat, March 24th at 11am and 1pm. DRAGONS LOVE TACOS will run April 13-21st with several performances. All of our shows are family-friendly. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit scchildrenstheatre.org.

And don’t forget our Mainstage shows at the Peace Center Gunter Theatre on Main street, our classes, Kids Night Out and summer camps at 1200 Pendleton Street.

South Carolina Childrens Theatre
Since 1987, South Carolina Children’s Theatre has impacted the lives of children and families in our community through theatre, educational classes and workshops, and accessible outreach initiatives. Each year, South Carolina Children’s Theatre produces and performs five high quality, live theatre performances featuring children and adults at the Peace Center’s Gunter Theatre. We also produce 4 additional shows and other special events at our 2nd Stage at SCCT headquarters at 153 Augusta Street in the West End. . Throughout the year, we offer professional year-round education in the dramatic arts for children ages 3 to 18, and we provide educational outreach to at-risk, disadvantaged, hospitalized and special needs children.

Mission: The South Carolina Children’s Theatre mission is to educate and stimulate the minds and imaginations of young people and their families through participation in high-quality theatre, year-round education, and accessible outreach.
