The Hub City Tap House in Spartanburg, SC is the home of Ciclops Cyderi and Brewery. Spartanburg is a growing city and we like to think that bringing in a second brewery has been a part of that growth – at least that was the plan from the beginning. The four owners of the tap house and brewery all have a love for Spartanburg and a desire to see it prosper. Kolby and Michael manage the business while their wives, Cindy and Rachel, provide much needed backup at home and the office. And at any given time, you will see them pouring beer and engaging customers.
Kolby’s background in culinary arts and food science propels the consistent and amazing beer and food selection. With anywhere from 10 to 20 of the 30 taps being made in-house, you will always find an exclusive brew to enjoy. And with a small but fine food selection, the Hub City Tap House is sure to please even the most critical of food connoisseurs.
Kolby and Michael both left successful careers managing businesses in 2014/15 to begin developing the working concept that is The Hub City Tap House and Ciclops Cyderi and Brewery. The goal of the Hub City Tap House is to have a place that not only draws people to Spartanburg, but more importantly, gives the people of Spartanburg a place to enjoy unique beer, excellent food, and the company of their friends from the community – all while being served in a way that communicates that they are loved and respected.
Events throughout the week offer customers many ways to engage with their fellow Spartanburgers. From Tuesday Night Trivia with Kolby to free swing lessons with Spartanburg Swing to Growlers and Games, there are activities for all. The tap house also partners with several local groups, colleges, and charities in an effort to promote Spartanburg and craft beer.
The Hub City Tap House is not just a place to get beer. It is a community of beer lovers who gather to toast life and each other.
