First Look: Fall Trends

I know it’s just now August but I am so ready for my favorite season of the year, fall! Cooler air, pumpkin flavored everything, and of course all of the cute clothes! This fall it’s going to be about moody florals, square necklines, animal print, shoulder duster earrings, plaids, to name a few. Check out some of my pre-fall picks below.
Moody florals will take the place of white and pastels and fall will be all about dark florals such as this Leith Floral Wrap Dress from Nordstrom, $75. It is a wrap maxi dress with a flattering tulip hem.  Another great option is this Dex Floral Print Dress and it’s only $45 dollars! I love the detail on the sleeves. I’ve purchased a few different things from this brand in the past and it’s great quality.
The next trend is bringing some major romantic vibes; square neck tops! CeCe is just the brand for this trend. They have varying patterns and sleeve lengths and are typically less than $60. My favorite is the Square Neck Top in Naval Navy, and it also comes in a super cute gingham print. Another great option is this Vince Camuto Sunset Plaid Top, $69. I love the sleeves and colors of this top and the raw edges on the neckline give it a bit of a boho feel.
I’m always a lover of animal print and the pieces I have been seeing lately are fabulous! I just picked up a leopard Jade by Melody Tam dress from local Simpsonville boutique Southern Girl Chic. It has a tie waist and a key-hole neckline. Another great and affordable option is this Bengal Beauty Adjustable Halter Maxi Dress by Vici Collections and it’s $30 dollars! Just add a sweater or cute jacket to it as the temps start to lower. If you haven’t shopped with Vici before you can sign up and get 20% off your first purchase. You’re welcome.
Typically I’m not one to go for very long earrings, so these shoulder dusters are definitely taking me out of my comfort zone. You can find all different varieties of these right now but when a friend introduced me to Amahle Designs I got really excited about this trend. Amahle Designs makes gorgeous, one of a kind, lightweight jewelry from leather. The creations come in all colors, styles, and lengths and are made right in Greenville!
Tartan, plaid, and checks, are back! This Chelsea28 Ruffle Detail Plaid Sheath,$98 is a great option for work or an evening out and the zig-zag fringed ruffle is on point. Another great option from Nordstrom is this red and navy plaid shirt dress from 1901, $85. I’m a sucker for a nice fitting shirt dress and I love that this one has a full skirt and elbow sleeves. These prices are the Anniversary sale prices but will go back up once the sale ends.
Are you craving fall and that Pumpkin Spice Latte as much as I am now?
