Drift Float and Spa will be closed for the week of July 4th. During this time, the spa will be providing clients with a limited-time discount and an opportunity to support our community.
Drift is offering a special “Warrior Week Discount” for anyone who books during the closed week of July 2 – 8 for any future appointment. Clients will receive 10% off of their entire purchase, and an additional 10% of the balance will go to supporting Upstate Warrior Solution.
“We are very thankful for our clients, so we wanted to do something special for everyone,” says Kelly Caldwell, founder and owner of Drift. “We decided that we would use this opportunity to not only give back to our customers but also to the community in which we live.”
The money given to UWS will remain within the Upstate and be used to help the nonprofit organization accomplish its goals of (1) personally connecting with every veteran, and current service member, who lives or works in the Upstate, (2) serving as a resource for both the veteran and the community, and (3) providing knee-to-knee case management to assure a successful transition.
“Upstate Warrior Solution is a nonprofit that I am very passionate about,” says Caldwell. “Upstate Warrior Solution and Drift share similar values of self- empowerment and well-being, and I’m excited to be partnering with an organization that supports and encourages heroes in our area.”
Drift regularly provides 10% off for veterans, active military and first responders.
About Upstate Warrior Solution
Upstate Warrior Solution is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to those who are currently serving or have served in the United States Armed Forces, regardless of military branch, nature of discharge, or current life situation – These people are referred to as warriors.
Upstate Warrior Solution CONNECTS warriors and their families to resources and opportunities, LEADS them through the process of self-empowerment, and INSPIRES the community to embrace local warriors and their families as valued neighbors and friends. Their vision is to restore warriors with a sense of purpose, and to empower the community to be responsive to warriors and their families.
Drift Float & Spa offers a number of relaxation therapies with a primary focus on float therapy. The float pod is filled with water and over 1000 pounds of epsom salt, which completely supports the person’s body in a weightless environment. The lights and music fade gently into total darkness and silence, giving the user a break from the noisy, stressful world in which we live.
Research shows that the therapy can offer benefits related to pain management, mental health, immunity function, athletic performance and creativity.
Drift was founded by Kelly Caldwell in 2017 after she began floating and experiencing firsthand the positive benefits of this relaxation therapy. Drift offers numerous other therapies with similar benefits such as an infrared sauna, oxygen bar, Lucia Light therapy and stress consultations with Dr. Rebecca Heiss.
