Calling all Princesses…

Since 2011, South Carolina Children’s Theatre has hosted an event that has little ladies all over Greenville giddy with excitement! The Princess Academy is an event that they will remember all year long, not to mention a wonderful photo opportunity for parents and grandparents.

This year’s Princess Academy features two classic princesses as well as a special young Princess- In-Training, and her helpful rabbit friend too! Even though they faced challenges in their lives of royalty, our classic Princesses learned how to become fine examples of a princess. Always ruling with thoughtful kindness in their hearts and with the help of some fun activities, they strive to show the young princess that she can do the same and follow her dreams!

At the Princess Academy, your little one will enjoy learning all the basics of being a princess such as smiling, entering a room, introducing herself, giving compliments and curtsying—all while learning the importance of kindness and grace.

Parents, grandparents and special friends are welcomed and encouraged to participate. Our young princesses will split into four groups for the activities and we encourage each child’s entourage to follow her from one activity to the next and take some photos! This shared experience is best for ages 3-8, but if your princess simply loves princesses, they will love this event!

The royal treatment will take place at The Salvation Army Kroc Center for one day only. For tickets, visit

Each year, South Carolina Children’s Theatre produces and performs five high quality, live theatre performances featuring children and adults at the Peace Center’s Gunter Theatre. We also produce 4 additional shows and other special events at our 2nd Stage at SCCT headquarters at 153 Augusta Street in the West End. . Throughout the year, we offer professional year-round education in the dramatic arts for children ages 3 to 18, and we provide educational outreach to at-risk, disadvantaged, hospitalized and special needs children.
