This national designation is given to insurance brokers who have helped more than 100 individuals and families make their health insurance selections during the 2018 Open Enrollment Period.

Furay began his insurance career in 1997 with BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. He opened The Insurance Source, an independent brokerage specializing in health insurance in 2005.  Furay earned the FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute) and GBA (Group Benefits Associate) designations. He also completed four of the eight graduate level courses to earn the CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) designation at the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania. Furay has been recognized three times as a Soaring Eagle Award winner, which is the highest honor given by The National Association of Health Underwriters.

“I am deeply honored to have been recognized by the government as one of the “Elite Circle of Champions,” said Furay. “We love what we do because we have the opportunity to help people with something really important—their insurance. Choosing the right coverage for your family can be very hard, and we are thankful that so many people in the Upstate and beyond trust us to help them in such a personal way. We are very appreciative of the national recognition from Healthcare.gov as one of the leaders in this very important responsibility. Our goal is to help make health insurance easier for our clients, and we hope to continue to do this in the remainder of the busy 2018 Open Enrollment Period.”
