Emily Lynch Cupelli leads Contemporary Worship Services
Greenville, S.C – Buncombe Street United Methodist Church (“BSUMC”) welcomes Emily Lynch Cupelli as the new Worship Leader for its Contemporary Worship Services at its Downtown Campus.
“Emily is not only an extremely talented artist, but she is a natural leader and equipper of God’s people,” said Justin Gilreath, Associate Pastor at BSUMC and leader of its Contemporary Service. “Her amazing vocal skills, combined with her ability to recognize and utilize the gifts and talents of our congregation, will take Buncombe Street to a new place. I am excited to welcome Emily as Buncombe Street’s contemporary worship leader, and I firmly believe her love of God and genuine love of the people will be contagious for our congregation.”
Emily Lynch Cupelli has been singing and writing songs professionally for over a decade, sharing her original music, as well as leading worship for many church events and conferences throughout the Southeast.
Cupelli recently recorded her sophomore album, Light Shine In. The project includes 13 original tunes about real life stories and inspiration that shine light and hope into the dark times we all face. The album was recorded in Nashville, Tenn. and features many A-list musicians, including the esteemed McCrary Sisters, as well as 21-time GRAMMY Award Winner Vince Gill.
“When I first came to BSUMC to serve as its interim Contemporary Worship Leader, I was not anticipating it leading to a permanent position,” explained Emily Lynch Cupelli. “Thankfully, God had something else in mind. It has been an exciting transition, and I feel like my career thus far has prepared me to lead the people of Buncombe Street in a fresh way that unites and inspires a genuine worship experience. The best is yet to come, and my husband Matt and I are thrilled to be on this journey with our new church family!”
Outside her leadership of BSUMC’s Contemporary Worship, Cupelli continues to write songs for herself and others as a published writer at First Note Entertainment. Learn more about Emily’s music by visiting emilylynch.com.
